    It\u2019s still possible to make changes to the System volume and then to boot from it, but it\u2019s even more difficult than it was before. Per this post on Eclectic Light Company, you need to boot into the Recovery partition, run csrutil authenticated-root disable to disable verification of the SSV, mount the system partition, make your changes, and then run sudo bless –folder \/mountpath\/System\/Library\/CoreServices –bootefi –create-snapshot to create a new snapshot of the system volume that can then be used for booting (albeit without SSV protections).<\/p>\n
