Contabo VPS 升级方法。

Thank you very much for your inquiry.
An upgrade is the right decision to increase the power of your VPS S SSD (144.91.110.110 – Contabo). We can enhance your virtual machine to a VPS M SSD with higher capacity and better performance at any time.
Since the hard disk space and RAM will be improved, we will have to create a new VPS on another host server system which provides ample resources. The old VPS will be deleted. Therefore, to avoid loss of data, it is vital for you to perform a complete backup before the upgrade takes place. Once the new VPS is ready, you can restore all data.
As an alternative, to avoid data loss, we can perform a migration of your VPS before starting the upgrade, which means we will move your VPS to a host server system that has enough resources available, and only then start the upgrade process (without reinstallation). This way all of your files and the server configuration remain. The process will not change existing settings. Your server’s efficiency will simply be improved by allocating more system resources. Your server only needs to be switched off for about 15 minutes to get the modification working. We will, of course, strive toward quickest technical implementation. Since this approach involves several individual tasks and thus higher overall effort, we unfortunately cannot offer this service for free and have to ask for a one-time administration fee of 25.00 EUR instead. This fee compensates for all tasks that we need to undertake during the whole process. The only task, which still remains in your responsibility, is the adjustment of the partition layout after changing the technical performance data of your server.
Should you wish to continue, please get back to us clearly responding to each point listed below:
* Confirm the higher monthly VPS price of 8.99 EUR EUR.
* Let us know how we shall proceed (which of the suggested options do you prefer).
* When choosing the alternative without costs but with reinstallation and data loss, take a backup of your important data and explicitly acknowledge the full data loss on your existing server.
* When choosing the alternative with costs but with prior migration and without data loss, confirm the one-time administration fee of 25.00 EUR and the downtime.
As soon as we will have agreed upon all the details, we will immediately care for processing.
